Where are you starting from?

Every family arrives at a different place. We meet you there.

Newly diagnosed

You just got the diagnosis and don’t know what comes next.

That’s where most families start, and it’s where our founder started too. You don’t need to know what ABA is yet. You need someone to explain it in plain language and tell you what the next step is.

The first call is for exactly that: what therapy looks like, what your insurance covers, and what happens next.

Switching providers

You’ve done ABA before, and it wasn’t the right fit.

You already know the vocabulary. What you want to know is whether this will be different: who supervises your child’s program, how often it’s reviewed, and whether the people working with your child will stay consistent.

Ask us all of it. Several of the families below came to us from other centers.

Military & TRICARE

You’re a TRICARE family, maybe mid-move.

We accept TRICARE. If you’re moving to the area, or already here and changing providers, call us early and we’ll talk through timing.

From parents

Parents with the same worries you have.

“Will my child want to go?”

My son is excited to see his therapists and peers at each session! He uses games and toys during sessions.
— Colleen J., parent

“Will we actually see progress?”

He went from echoing single syllable sounds to independently communicating his wants/needs and responding to requests using 2-word phrases … we are now able to enjoy a family meal at a restaurant!
— Ashley B., parent

“We’ve tried other clinics.”

We’ve experienced other ABA clinics that gave us the runaround w onerous hours requirements, insurance obstacles, and lack of available therapy hours for school age children. Imagine That is not like that.
— Colleen J., parent

“Will they keep us in the loop?”

Wonderful therapists, clear and professional communication, great facilities and flexibility to meet our family’s needs.
— Kathryn D., parent

“Can it fit our schedule?”

The team was not only professional and compassionate, but great with schedule changes and accommodations.
— Kota R., parent

“Will they understand my kid?”

When you find really good therapists who get results and really bond with your child, it just makes all the difference in the world!
— Kathryn D., parent

Our approach

How we practice ABA

Parents who know ABA ask how it’s done, not just whether it’s offered. Here’s how we think about it.

  1. Your child, not a template

Every program is built for one child and reviewed regularly. Treatment decisions are clinical, not convenient.

  2. Safe and engaged first

Learning happens through play. If a child isn’t comfortable, nothing else works.

  3. Skills that matter at home

We focus on communication and independence, and on skills that carry over outside the clinic.

  4. You’ll know what we’re working on

Parents should understand the goals and the reasons behind them. Ask us anything.

  5. Different isn’t a problem

We don’t target harmless behaviors just because they look different.

Games and toys, peers to play with, and a team that knows your child by name. Therapy here looks a lot like play, because a lot of it is.

Joanna Bouboulis, founder and Executive Director

Why this clinic exists

Built by a parent who’s been where you are.

In 2020, Joanna Bouboulis’s daughter Zoe was diagnosed with autism. Joanna had spent her career in sales and marketing at companies like Condé Nast and Amazon Web Services. She set that aside to learn everything she could about ABA and speech therapy.

She built Imagine That to be the clinic she was looking for: one that gives families hope and helps them imagine what’s possible for their child, one skill at a time.

She still talks with every new family herself. Your first call is with Joanna.

Not sure yet? That’s what the first call is for.

Ask about insurance, schedules, our approach, anything. No pressure and no commitment.
